The design of Baytek International's initial LIMS software was guided by the following underlying principles:

Baytek International’s first product release in 1983 was based on the HP-1000 platform, a proprietary database and software technologies that were common at the time.  Today, Baytek International’s product offerings are based on Intel, Oracle, Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Microsoft Server 2003 and .NET.

 

Throughout the technological evolution of its offerings, Baytek International has been mindful of its customers' investments and has provided an upgrade path that preserves legacy data and a continuous return on investment at a low total cost of ownership.  This data preservation is evidenced by the fact that customers who invested in Baytek International’s offerings over a decade ago are successfully upgrading to the latest technologies and migrating all of their legacy data.

 

Its partnerships with key industry providers such as AspenTech, Microsoft, Oracle, OSISoft, SAP, and Teklynx allow Baytek International to provide seamless interfaces and proactive interface updates, which improves its customer’s return on investment.

 

Baytek has received BP's prestigious Extra Mile Award for excellent customer service, and at the recent 2007 Gulf Coast Analytical Conference, Baytek’s TurboTube won the award for Most Innovative New Product. TurboTube is a revolutionary new Baytek invention in which a sample vial is distributed through an entire lab via a pneumatic vial transportation system which is controlled by a sophisticated, software package that manages the distribution of samples throughout the lab. TurboTube will provide a company’s lab with safety, speed and sample custody control.
