The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), a major tenant at Naval Air Station – Corpus Christi (NAS-CC), was established at NAS-CC in 1961. One of the largest employers in the Coastal Bend, with over 3,600 civilian employees, CCAD is the largest industrial employer in South Texas.
CCAD's mission is to:

Overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, modernize, recapitalize and test helicopters, engines and components for all U. S. armed forces and foreign military customers.

Serve as the depot training base for active duty Army, National Guard, Reserve and foreign military personnel.

Provide worldwide, on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis and chemical, metallurgical and training support.
CCAD’s helicopter repair mission involves the following helicopters: AH-1W Super Cobra (components), CH-47D Chinook, MH-60 Pavehawk, OH-58D Kiowa (components), AH-64A Apache, SH-60 Seahawk, UH-1N Huey and UH-60 Blackhawk. To facilitate its repair mission, CCAD receives on-site guidance and technical support from the following partners: Boeing, Derco Aerospace, GE, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky.
CCAD has received the following awards: CCREDC Compass Award (2001, 2003, and 2005); Corpus Christi Human Resources Association 2006 Top Three Best Places to Work; 2006 Top Blood Donor Award; ISO 9001:2000 certification; and Aerospace Standard 9100 certification.
CCAD employees support, and are actively involved in, the following community projects: Operation Paintbrush; Operation Christmas Spirit (raise funds year-round to buy and deliver Christmas gifts to residents of seven area nursing homes); Relay for Life; KIII-TV's Annual Share Your Christmas Food Drive; Combined Federal Campaign of the Coastal Bend (largest contributor); March of Dimes TeamWalk America; Beach-to-Bay Marathon; HEB Christmas Dinner for the Needy; Corpus Christi Women's Shelter; Nueces County Foster Children (CASA); Buccaneer Day Parade; Independence Day Parade; POW/MIA Ceremony; Harbor Lights; CCISD Annual Drop Everything and Read Program; Conquer the Coast Annual Bike Race; Blood Center of the Coastal Bend (Bloodmobiles visit CCAD Headquarters on a regular basis).
