The Uniform Crime Report, or UCR, is a standard method of reporting crime, administered by the Federal Bureau of Investigations through the Uniform Crime Report Program. The Part I UCR crimes reported by the Corpus Christi Police Department are: homicide, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny, and auto theft. The classification for the offense is based on police investigation, as opposed to determinations made by a court, medical examiner, jury, or other judicial body.
