John Bludworth Shipyard, LLC, located in the Port of Corpus Christi, is a full service shipyard facility dedicated to providing new construction, design and repair services for the inland and offshore marine vessel industries. John Bludworth Shipyard’s 4,000-ton dry dock is the largest in the area and can accommodate vessels up to 350 feet in length. With its 1,500 feet of dockside area and a 2,000 square foot tool room and warehouse, combined with its 100+ employees, John Bludworth Shipyard, LLC can provide a full range of marine services including new construction and repairs. Complimenting the various marine services, John Bludworth Shipyard has at its disposal a 150-ton link belt crawler crane, 70-ton barge crane, 70-ton mobile crane, 15-ton cherry picker and a 16-ton fork lift. Heavier lifts can be accommodated with local crane rental services. For new construction, John Bludworth Shipyard provides a full design service using computer aided design and state-of-the-art NC burning process. All steel is abrasive blasted and coated with a construction primer. Welding is performed with automatic, semi-automatic and manual processes by USCG and ABS certified welders. New vessels can be built using John Bludworth Shipyard’s design or yours. The John Bludworth Shipyard’s marine repair services for inland and offshore vessels include hull repair and piping, re-powering, electrical repair, conversions, rig, de rig, panel fabrication, abrasive blasting and coating. |
