Kiewit has operated in the Corpus Christi area since 1984, completing many successful projects, including the 1,350-foot deep Bullwinkle Jacket, the world’s largest fixed oil-production platform. Kiewit Offshore Services (KOS) was created to pursue opportunities within the offshore fabrication market. KOS has quickly established itself as a leading fabricator for the oil and gas industry. Our reputation for successfully delivering large offshore projects on time and within budget is incomparable. Our projects include fabrication of oil and gas topsides, massive deepwater floating structures, and other large structural steel components. Our world-class fabrication facility consists of state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure. With unrestricted access to the Gulf of Mexico, the facility was designed specifically for deepwater projects. Our 400-acre fabrication yard is located in Ingleside, Texas, along the La Quinta shipping channel in Corpus Christi Bay. The facility boasts 2,200 feet of continuous pile-founded bulkhead space, with 45-foot water depth and a 77-foot deep hole for off-loading unusually large floating structures.
