Roland C. Mower took over as President & CEO of the Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation (CCREDC) in July 2005. CCREDC is the leading voice for economic development in the Coastal Bend region of Texas and specifically supports the enhancement of the Corpus Christi area economy. Prior to coming to Corpus Christi, Mr. Mower served as CEO of The Research Valley Partnership, Inc a regional economic development corporation headquartered in Bryan, Texas. Mower has held similar positions with the Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation, Fort Collins Economic Development Corporation, San Luis Valley Development Resources Group and Bent County Development Foundation. During his nearly 20-year career in economic development, Mr. Mower has been actively engaged with many local, state and national organizations as a member and has been elected to several key leadership positions. Mower has served on the Leadership Development Committee of the Industrial Asset Management Council and completed a term on the Institute for Food Science & Engineering Advisory Board at Texas A&M University. Mower has served as Chairman of the Larimer County Workforce Investment Board (1996-2001) and three years in various leadership positions with the Economic Developers’ Council of Colorado. In 1999 – 2000, Mower served as President of this statewide association representing the economic development professionals in Colorado. Mr. Mower participates in several professional associations including: International Economic Development Council, Texas Economic Development Council, CoreNet Global, International Asset Management Council, and is a member of TEAM Texas. Mr. Mower lives in Corpus Christi, Texas with his wife Beverly. They have three daughters and one son: Lelia, Barbara, RJ, and Shaeleigh. Mrs. Beverly Mower is a Region Finance Manager for Carrier Corporation and is based in Corpus Christi, Texas. In his spare time, Mr. Mower enjoys golfing and hunting upland game. |
