The mission of the CCREDC is to expand and enhance the region's economic base
by developing and/or supporting projects that create primary jobs.
About the CCREDC Program
The Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation is a non-profit organization responsible for creating, managing and supervising programs and activities that promote, assist, and enhance economic development throughout the Coastal Bend region. CCREDC’s partners include the cities of Corpus Christi and Portland, the Port of Corpus Christi Authority, Nueces and San Patricio counties, and 180 private-sector members. CCREDC is governed by a 25-member Board of Directors whose members are appointed by the city, port, counties, and investor membership.
Through its business attraction and business retention and expansion programs, Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation focuses its economic development efforts on the creation of new primary jobs and new investment in the following industry sectors:

Single Point of Contact
Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation (CCREDC) serves as the single point of contact for primary employers interested in locating or expanding in the Coastal Bend region. As the single point of contact, the CCREDC works in partnership with new or existing primary employers to facilitate, and expedite, the economic development process. CCREDC/ Primary Employer partnership includes, but is not limited to:
- Site selection process for new primary employers
- Advocacy for existing primary employers
- Facilitating meetings, as needed, with city, county and port representatives
- Coordinating incentive proposals through the approval process
- Aiding taxing entities with the formulation of policy
