In the field of higher education, Corpus Christi earns excellent marks! Our region is home to multiple award-winning higher learning institutions.
Both of our four-year institutions are part of the Texas A&M University System: Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Texas A&M University-Kingsville. We, also, proudly boast of our two multi-campus community colleges: Del Mar College and Coastal Bend College and the Craft Training Center.
Through collaboration and proven success, our institutions offer students and employers ample opportunity to meet educational goals.
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi "The Island University"
The University enrolls more than 11,500 students and is part of The Texas A&M University System. The five academic colleges offer bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from highly accomplished faculty, 90 percent of whom hold the highest degree in their fields. Numerous bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees are offered in five colleges: Business, Education, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Health Sciences, and Science and Engineering.
Texas A&M University-Kingsville

The first institution of higher learning in South Texas, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, is a Carnegie-Classified Doctoral University with High Research Activity serving a student population of approximately 7,000 students. TAMUK offers students at all levels opportunities to engage in research and collaborate with faculty who are leaders in their fields.
The University’s renowned STEM programs, which include engineering and agriculture, are rooted in a legacy of leadership and national distinction while remaining committed to innovation that shapes the future of Texas. Del Mar College

Celebrating 90 years of excellence, Del Mar College offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs across eight Pathways. Coastal Bend College
Coastal Bend College is a comprehensive, public community college serving a diverse South Texas area with a main campus in Beeville and other sites in Alice, Kingsville and Pleasanton. It is a student-centered institution committed to the highest integrity and to the development of an educational culture that supports creativity, encourages professional development, and promotes excellence in all areas.
Craft Training Center
Craft Training Center of the Coastal Bend strives to meet the manpower needs of the community, business, and industry by providing a quality education at an affordable cost. The goal is to provide students with opportunities to learn a craft and become members of a skilled workforce.
Craft Training Center offers training in welding, pipefitting, instrumentation, crane operations/rigging, and field safety/safety technology/OSHO 30. CTC is an administrator for the Associated Builders and Contractors Plumbing and Electrical Apprenticeship programs, registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. Craft Training Center is also an accredited training and assessment center with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER).
