Welcome from the President

Thank you for your interest in Economic Development in Corpus Christi.

As President and CEO of this organization, I am proud of the work we have done to secure business investment and jobs for our beautiful corner of the Gulf Coast. The impact this investment has had on our local economy has been significant: with $57.4 billion in new investment announced since 2010 and companies building in our area from around the world, including Austria, China, Italy, and Brazil, we are capitalizing on our deep-water port, great educational assets, and business-friendly climate to experience unprecedented growth.

Looking forward, our outlook is strong for continued growth. Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and Del Mar College are adding degree and certificate programs that diversify our workforce and position us to attract increasingly diverse industries to our area. Our affordable cost of living and coastal lifestyle, along with a strong public school system, make the Corpus Christi region attractive to families. Our commitment to supporting our existing industry partners, as well as focusing on the attraction of new investment, makes our Texas business-friendly climate even friendlier.

This site will help you answer questions about every aspect of our region from our key industries to our demographics and culture. We will continue to do our part to move our region forward. This means serving as the single point of contact for employers interested in locating, or expanding, in the Corpus Christi area, working in partnership with new or existing primary employers to facilitate and expedite the economic development process. To be successful, an economic development organization must have dedicated and committed partners that work together towards improving the economic climate of the community and region. The Corpus Christi Regional Economic Development Corporation is fortunate to have just such a great group of partners.

Together we make things happen!
