Light-to-Medium Clean Tech Manufacturing
A Growing Manufacturing Cluster in Corpus Christi Corpus Christi’s manufacturing sector was valued at $7B in 2023, representing 22% of regional value added and employing more than 9,000 workers, with rapid growth in component manufacturing and assembly. Existing infrastructure and feedstocks create strong opportunities for new entrants in bio-based materials, EV components, fabricated metals, and advanced assemblies.
Texas is the Center of U.S. Manufacturing Investment
Texas captured 24,722 reshoring-related manufacturing jobs in 2024, equating to about 11% of all US reshored and FDI manufacturing employment. The State’s manufacturing contributed $329B to the Texas economy in 2024 (11% of state GDP), with $293B in manufactured exports. Texas’s pro-business environment, regulatory support, and expansive industrial workforce position the state for continued manufacturing diversification and growth.
Growing CleanTech Manufacturing Momentum
Clean-energy investments across the Gulf Coast (including hydrogen, biofuels, and renewable liquids) are creating strong demand for components, materials, and precision manufacturing. Tesla’s lithium refinery is anchoring a rapidly expanding EV supply chain, generating sustained demand for battery-related materials, casings, enclosures, and specialized components. Texas is the second-largest cleantech hub in the United States, home to 20,000 firms driving innovation and procurement needs across renewables, storage, EVs, and green fuels.
Renewables & Clean Fuels Opportunity Opportunities exist across renewable and clean energy sectors. Biofuel and SAF production have been strengthened by refinery capacity and pipeline integration across the port. Infinium’s Project Pathfinder - the world’s first commercial-scale eFuels plant - will produce synthetic low-carbon fuels using hydrogen and captured CO₂. Hydrogen development is accelerating through Horizons Clean Hydrogen Hub and the Trans Permian H₂ Hub, connecting West Texas production to Gulf Coast export infrastructure.
